Sample types such as serum, plasma, buffy coat, whole blood and DNA can be stored in our automated freezing units allowing for easy overview and access.
Samples are placed in the automated storage facility
In this little video we present how samples are handled and stored in the Danish National Biobank. We receive approximately 1000 biological samples every day. These are handled by our robots, some are analysed on the COBAS robot, others are transferred to small tubes and stored in our -80 degrees automated storage unit.
Since we get many requests from interested scientists, we have chosen to add an online tool enabling scientists to get a rough price estimate for sample storage. This tool allows for various formats to be chosen and also aids in budgetting for fund applications.
NB this tool provides an estimated price (DKK, ex. VAT) from the details given. The price should not be considered legally binding, but merely a rough estimate. Please contact the Coordinating Centre for exact quote.
